Viewing of Yalda, A Night For Forgiveness
06 Oct 2021
SCREENSHOT: Asia was created to bring rich, diverse programming to Pitt’s campus and around the city, and to give students an opportunity to engage with arts programming at the ground level. In this first year, the festival will screen 12 feature and short films from Asia and Asian American filmmakers, including films from Iran, South Korea, Japan, and Nepal. We will also include virtual Q&A sessions with filmmakers. Highlights include a film by the horror legend Kiyoshi Kurosawa (Pulse, Cure) and complex exploration of reality tv, Islamic law, and a pending executing in Yalda, A Night for Forgiveness.
