Adjunct as well as full-time faculty of community colleges and universities are eligible to participate in FUNDED National Endowment for the Humanities summer seminars and institutes. And the 2019 schedule has just been announced. You can find a complete list of opportunities at: https://www.neh.gov/divisions/education/summer-programs - Be sure to filter for "College & University Teachers." When you get a list, you can click on the title for more info, but you will get A LOT more info if you click on the Apply Now button, which takes you to the project website. You can apply for up to 2 programs though you may only do 1 of them.
There is a 1-week institute “Middle Eastern Millennials through Literature, Culture, and Media” to be held at the University of Arizona, August 4-10, 2019. The academic director, Dr. Maha Nassar, a fascinating scholar and a wonderful educator; she will be joined by a “dream team” of presenters. The institute will be for 28 college/university educators – we especially want to encourage applications from faculty at community colleges and smaller undergraduate-serving universities.
