Amid COVID-19 Uncertainties, QFI Calls for Community Feedback to Support Continuing Learning

During this difficult and trying time, Qatar Foundation International (QFI) is relying on our core values of responsibility, collaboration and community to face the challenges ahead. We stand in solidarity with everyone who is coping with the uncertainty of the COVID-19 situation, especially our community of educators, students and schools. QFI is currently reaching out to our community to survey needs and gather resources, as well as to find as many ways as we can to connect our community virtually to provide support in the days, weeks and months ahead.

In light of school closures resulting from COVID-19, several QFI grants are being opened for emergency applications that will be reviewed on a rolling basis through the end of the academic year. Additionally, the scopes of the grants will be adjusted to give preference to online resources, online professional development, or training related to remote learning that educators may need at this time. To learn more, please visit our grant portal at qfi.smapply.org or click here for information on our Classroom Resource Enrichment Grants (CREGs) (https://www.qfi.org/opportunities/classroom-resource-enrichment-grants/), Teacher Professional Development (TPD) Grants (https://www.qfi.org/opportunities/teacher-professional-development-grants/), and two new grants for educators: the Maharaat Grants for Arabic educators (https://www.qfi.org/opportunities/maharaat-grants/) and the QFI and Brown Choices Curriculum grants for social studies/humanities teachers (https://www.qfi.org/opportunities/curriculum-award-program/).

Please continue to follow QFI online or on our website for new resources and grants as the world responds to the education disruptions being caused by COVID-19.
