The Center for the Study of Mediterranean Dialogues (Granada, Spain) is now accepting applications for the 2019 one-week intensive summer school entitled Critical Muslim Studies: Decolonial Struggles and Liberation Theologies. The dates are June 16 - 22, 2019.

The summer school, now in its seventh year, has established itself as the primary centre in the world for Critical Muslim Studies. The school welcomes participations from Muslim and non-Muslim heritages and associations. The seminar will be held in the Escuela de Estudios Arabes.

This year's instructors include internationally recognized scholars and intellectuals from a range of disciplines:

Houria Bouteldja - Farid Esack - Asma Lamrabet - Santiago Slabodsky Nelson Maldonado-Torres - Arzu Merali - Tajul Islam
Asma Barlas - Saadia Benmakhlouf - Jasmin Zine - Amina Teslima

The summer institute is open to advanced undergraduates, graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, junior faculty as well as professionals and activists interested in any aspect of Critical Muslim Studies. This seminar is open to both Muslims and non-Muslims.For more information:
