After more than four decades of displacement, Afghan refugees constitute one of the largest refugee situations in the world. There are nearly 6 million Afghans who have been forcibly displaced from their homes. Iran has been a critical destination for more than a million Afghan refugees in the last several decades and since the fall of the Afghan government in August 2021, thousands of Afghans have arrived in Turkey, many more are on their way. This roundtable brings together scholars from various disciplinary backgrounds to discuss this timely topic with its past, present, and future, and not only for those who left the country but also for those who are still in Afghanistan
