The lecture will examine the politics, history, and impact of this movement from its inception in the early 1970s through to the present day. This talk will also explore a sampling of linguistic representations of settlers and the settler movement offered up in the authoritative news media and will speculate about the formation of public knowledge about this aspect of the conflict within contemporary American society.
