CAIR is America’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy organization in America with chapters in more than twenty-five states throughout the country. CAIR National was founded in 1994. For nearly 25 years, CAIR has been at the forefront of protecting the rights of the Muslim community and empowering our community through civic engagement. CAIR-Ohio was founded in 1998 in Columbus. In 2003, CAIR-Ohio expanded to Cleveland and Cincinnati to increase services across the entire state.

CAIR’s vision is to be a leading advocate for justice and mutual understanding. CAIR’s mission is to enhance understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.
